First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is hiring experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You can pick up shifts 7a-7p or 7p-7a and build a fuller schedule or work occasionally, with the freedom to choose shifts that fit your life.

PCU RN requirements include a Virginia RN license and 2 years of recent PCU experience, BLS, ACLS, and a TB test within 12 months, plus vaccination or approved exemption.

Qualifications

• Virginia RN license required

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams
• Maintain electronic medical records
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans
• Adapt to different hospital units
