Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Take control of your schedule and choose shifts such as 7a-7p or 7p-7a that fit your life.

You will deliver high-quality patient care in acute-care settings, assess and monitor patients, administer medications and IV therapies, and document care in EMR systems while collaborating with care teams.

Qualifications

• PCU RN experience required; recent within past 4 years.
• Virginia RN license and current BLS/ACLS.
• TB test within 12 months and vaccination or approved exemption.
• Facility-specific credentials may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and status changes.
• Administer meds, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and discharge plans.
• Adapt to different hospital units and environments.
