Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. You will manage patient care in acute settings, with shifts from 7a–7p or 7p–7a, and enjoy the freedom to create a schedule that fits your life.

Choose your own shifts, enjoy daily or weekly pay options, and work with a locally owned staffing team dedicated to responsive support and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
