Job summary
First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. Shifts are 7a-7p and 7p-7a, offering flexible scheduling and the freedom to pick shifts that fit your life.
Per diem pay is competitive, with the option for daily or weekly pay. You will deliver high quality patient care in acute-care units, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and maintain accurate electronic medical records while adhering to
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN License is required.
- 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
- AHA BLS current certification is required.
- AHA ACLS current certification is required.
- QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
- Administering medications and IV therapies.
- Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Following infection-control and patient-safety standards.
- Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
- Adapting to different hospital units and environments.
