First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU RNs for per diem hospital shifts across Hampton Roads, Virginia. The role offers 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts with the freedom to pick up occasional or fuller schedules.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license
• Minimum 2 years PCU experience within past 4 years
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
• Additional facility credentials may be required

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in status
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records
• Following infection-control and patient-safety standards
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans
• Adapting to different hospital units and environments
