Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Aide to support patient care on the unit. You will assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, and mobility, while taking vital signs and assisting with routine measurements.

You will also maintain medical records, handle clerical tasks, and observe and report changes in patient conditions. Training includes ECG and venipuncture as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Currently listed with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or with the applicable state Board of Nursing as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene.
• Takes vital signs and measurements.
• Feeds and ambulates patients according to procedures.
• Maintains clean and orderly patient rooms.
• Observes and reports changes in condition.
• Orientates patients/families to unit and safety measures.
• Assists with clerical work including phones, data entry, and medical records.
• Maintains stock items in inventory.
• Performs Nurse Aide I/II tasks per state lists.
• Performs ECG and routine venipuncture with appropriate training.
