Advocate Health is seeking a Nurse Aide to support patient care on a unit. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, orienting patients and families to the unit, and transporting patients to tests and meals while supervising behaviors as required.

The incumbent will perform routine vital signs, document observations in the medical record, and promptly communicate significant findings to the RN.

Qualifications

• Must be a Nurse Aide in good standing per State Registry.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Completion of CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Assist, monitor and maintain patient activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Orient patients and family to the unit and hospital.
• Escort patients to tests, meals, activities and supervise behaviors as required.
• Perform vital signs on patients.
• Document observations in the medical records per policy and communicate significant findings.
• Defuse and report crisis situations using established procedures.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment; assist with groups and set limits as needed.
• Perform patient rounding at designated intervals and document appropriately.
