Job summary

Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, North Carolina, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You will provide vigilant, high-level care to patients transitioning from ICU, support recovery, and collaborate with a critical care team.

You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with ADLs, and document care. This is a full-time on-site role with benefits and opportunities in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN licensure required and ready for state licensure.
• Vocational School Graduate required.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on patient care including medications and ADLs.
• Monitor heart rate, oxygen levels, and neurological status and alert team as needed.
• Maintain clear, timely patient records.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and recovery steps.
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and specialists to stabilize patients.
