Job summary

Satellite Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician Trainee to learn direct patient care under RN supervision. The role focuses on performing hemodialysis duties, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining equipment in a safe setting.

You will gain hands-on experience while adhering to center policies and patient care standards. Successful candidates may have prior medical experience and CPR certification, with required BONENT/NNCC/NNCO credentials to be obtained within 18 months from hire.

Qualifications

• One year of medical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Current CPR certification.
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification due within 18 months from hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (CA locations only) due within 18 months from hire date)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Learn and perform hemodialysis treatment per Satellite policies and procedures.
• Take and monitor vital signs, perform blood tests, and document patient information.
• Prepare and monitor dialysis equipment and clean equipment.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

One (1) year of medical experience preferred

Education

High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent

License/Certification

• Current CPR certification
• BONENT/NNCC/NNCO certification is required within 18 months from the hire date.
• CDPH CHT certification (for CA locations only) is required within 18 months from the hire date
