Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Short Stay/Observation Unit. The role is full time with a 36 hour work week, day shift from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, including rotating holidays and weekends.

The position involves performing patient care tasks under RN direction to ensure patient comfort and safety, with pay based on experience and credentials. CPR certification is required, and prior CNA training or equivalent experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent.
• Completion of the Care Companion Course within six months if required by the department.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization, and ability to follow directions.

Hourly Pay Range:

$19.71 - $28.58 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Full Time: 36 hour work week
• Hours: Day Shift: 6:30 am - 7:00 pm Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six monthsof previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
