Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a PRN, per diem nurse aide to provide basic patient care in a hospital setting. You will assist patients with daily activities, help with feeding, and monitor vital signs under nursing supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior hospital experience is preferred. BLS certification is required to perform duties and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Provides basic patient care under nursing direction.
• Assists with activities of daily living (eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility).
• Follows safety protocols and reports changes to nurses/doctors.

Responsibilities:

• Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS required.
