Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide basic patient care under nursing supervision and help maintain patient safety and well‑being.

You will assist with activities of daily living, answer calls, help with eating, bathing, dressing and mobility, monitor vitals, document observations, and support wound care under supervision. This full‑time role offers multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Answering patient calls and helping with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Feeding patients and recording their food and liquid intake.
• Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
• Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
• Supporting basic care and safety to ensure patient well‑being.
