Job summary

Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is seeking a Patient Care Technician - Medical Oncology for a full-time night shift. You will work 6:30 pm–7:00 am with rotating holidays/weekends, supporting nurses in patient care to ensure comfort and safety.

The role requires nursing assistant training or equivalent experience, CPR certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. It offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience.
• Completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire if required by department.

Salary

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Medical Oncology
• Location: Edward Hospital; Naperville, IL
• Full Time: 36 hour work week
• Hours: Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am
• Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What you will do

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

Unique or Preferred Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
