Job summary

Endeavor Health's Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is hiring a Patient Care Technician - Medical Oncology for a 36-hour weekly, full-time night shift.

Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform essential patient care tasks, deliver comfort and safety, and collaborate with the care team.

Applicants should have CPR certification and completion of an accredited nursing assistant training or equivalent; strong communication and teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or current CPR certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience: completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when required by the department
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork and ability to prioritize and follow directions

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, performs patient care tasks and procedures to provide care, comfort and safety to patients
• Collaborates with the care team to support patient needs and maintain quality care

Hourly Pay Range: $18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Care Technician - Medical Oncology

• Location: Edward Hospital ; Naperville, IL

• Full Time: 36 hour work week

• Hours: Night Shift: 6:30 pm - 7:00 am Rotating Holidays/Weekends

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A

• Certification: Current CPR Certification issues by either American Heart Associates or American Red Cross

• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation

• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.

• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
