Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant in Massachusetts. Under RN/LPN supervision, you will aid in patient care, data collection and comfort measures, following established protocols.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential for delivering high-quality care. The role requires CPR and CNA certification, must be 17 or older, and BLS within 30 days of hire; prior CNA experience is preferred.

• Must possess reading, writing and simple mathematical calculations.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
• Manual dexterity to perform tests and complete treatments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection and care and treatment of patients under supervision.
• Demonstrate understanding of comfort measures for the served population.
• Perform patient care activities under direct supervision based on established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and staff as needed.
• Work collaboratively in a team model of care.
