Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician II in Charleston, SC. The role operates under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to perform multi-skilled tasks supporting a decentralized, patient-centered care model.

The position requires 36 hours per week on rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and at least one year of patient care experience; CNA/EMT certification or related nursing coursework is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum training: a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility, CNA/EMT or Paramedic certification, Bachelor’s Degree or enrollment in a healthcare related program with nursing courses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the PCT performs multi-skilled activities to support decentralized patient-centered care and achieve desired outcomes.
• The PCT reports to the Nurse Manager and collaborates with the healthcare team to support patient care delivery.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

One year of patient care work experience in a health care facility

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), EMT or Paramedic certification or enrollment in healthcare program with nursing course
