Job summary

Sinai Chicago seeks a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct patient care, perform phlebotomy and EKGs, and work under the supervision of a registered nurse. The PCT contributes to hospital operations while adhering to Mission, Vision, and Values.

The role requires a High School Diploma, up-to-date CPR certification (within 3 months of hire), and CNA certification. EKG training or a certificate is preferred. New grads are welcomed; hospital experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Current CPR certification required; CPR certification within 3 months of hire.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) required.
• EKG training or certificate preferred.
• Compliant with PPD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care.
• Performs phlebotomy and EKGs.
• Collaborates with and works under the direction of the registered nurse.
• Utilizes hospital information system to order tests and obtain patient information.
• Floating to other units when required.
