Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Central Resource Team/Float Pool at Elmhurst Hospital. The role is full-time with dayshift coverage (6:30 am–7:00 pm) and rotating holidays/weekends; you will assist RNs with patient care to ensure comfort and safety across units.

Required are CPR certification and nursing assistant training or 6+ months of patient care experience, plus hospital PCT exposure. Strong teamwork and ability to follow directions are essential.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification by American Heart Association or BLS.
• Completion of an accredited nursing assistant program or 6+ months of patient care experience or nursing clinical rotation.
• Recent hospital patient care tech experience (6+ months).
• Completion of Care Companion Course within 6 months if required by the department.
