Job summary

Wells is seeking a skilled Metal Shop Certified Welder in Minnesota to fabricate and assemble production components used in precast manufacturing. This role requires welding, cutting, and assembling with shop equipment, ensuring all work meets PCI certification standards.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with responsibilities spanning reads of blueprints, jig setup, and material handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding certification preferred or willing to test/certify.
• Ability to read blueprints and basic technical documents.
• General math skills and tape measure reading.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations that meet company and PCI certification standards.
• Operate shop equipment including welders, forklifts, shears, punches, drill presses, and band saws.
• Fabricate and assemble production components used in precast manufacturing.
• Build and set up jigs for fabrication work as needed.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints and production drawings.
• Use gas/acetylene torches for cutting and fabrication tasks.
• Transport and handle materials safely within the shop environment.
• Ensure work is completed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
• Support additional shop and production tasks as assigned.
