Responsibilities

  • Receive and enter sleep study orders into designated systems and ensure medical necessity aligns with documented symptoms and physician orders.
  • Schedule patients for sleep studies in a timely manner and per company policy.
  • Obtain and verify demographic and medical information during scheduling.
  • Inform, educate, and respond to patient and physician questions regarding the sleep study process.
  • Communicate information from patients, physician offices, and hospitals to internal teams.
  • Review and verify source materials to ensure accuracy and completeness per Medicare and payer standards.
  • Follow up to correct or complete missing or inaccurate information as needed.
  • Perform duties in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
  • Support cross-training initiatives including coverage of other Patient Care Coordinator functions.
  • Perform additional operational tasks to support departmental workflows.

This role is responsible for coordinating sleep study scheduling, documentation, and communication to ensure accurate workflows, regulatory compliance, and a positive patient experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Patient Coordination and Scheduling
  • Receive and enter sleep study orders into designated systems, ensuring medical necessity aligns with documented symptoms and physician orders
  • Schedule patients for sleep studies in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy
  • Obtain and verify demographic and medical information during the scheduling process
  • Inform, educate, and respond to patient and physician questions regarding the sleep study process
Communication and Documentation
  • Communicate information received from patients, physician offices, and hospitals to appropriate internal teams
  • Review and verify source materials to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with Medicare and payer standards
  • Follow up to correct or complete missing or inaccurate information as needed
Compliance and Operational Support
  • Perform duties in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies
  • Support cross-training initiatives, including coverage of other Patient Care Coordinator functions such as Medical Records, as assigned
  • Perform additional operational tasks to support departmental workflows as needed
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Lives in Connecticut
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or healthcare-related organization required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting sleep medicine or diagnostic services
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency

Physical and Work Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive computer-based tasks. Ability to communicate effectively by phone and electronic systems. Ability to work standard business hours in an in-person office environment.

Employment Details (Role-Specific)

Pay Rate / Salary Range: $17.00-$22.00 per hour.

Job Type: Full-time.

Schedule Standard Business Hours / As scheduled based operational needs.
