Job summary

Salcomp Manufacturing USA in Arlington, TX is seeking a Test Engineer to develop and support PCBA testing in a manufacturing environment. You will design test strategies, program automated test equipment, analyze data, and assist troubleshooting to meet design specs and customer requirements.

You will work with engineering, production, and quality to improve testing, validate processes for new designs, and ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in PCBA testing within electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with ICT, FCT, and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Experience operating or programming ATE platforms such as Keysight, Teradyne, or GenRad.
• Knowledge of PCB layout interpretation, schematic analysis, and circuit theory.
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscope, multimeter, and power supplies.
• Experience troubleshooting PCBA failures and conducting root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with LabVIEW, TestStand, or similar automated test software.
• Understanding SMT and THT manufacturing processes and IPC-A-610 standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop test strategies, plans, and procedures for PCBA testing.
• Set up, program, and operate Automated Test Equipment for ICT and FCT.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve PCBAs failures and recommend improvements.
• Perform functional and performance testing of electronic circuits and components.
• Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and jigs for testing.
• Create detailed test plans, scripts, and reports documenting results.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and design teams to root-cause issues.
• Develop and implement automated test procedures using LabVIEW or TestStand.
• Ensure PCBAs comply with IPC-A-610 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Analyze data and provide feedback on product performance and quality.
