Job summary

Hach in Loveland, CO, part of Veralto, is seeking a PCBA Operator I to manufacture quality products following work orders and procedures. This on-site role involves picking, assembling, packaging, and occasional machine setup in a fast-paced production environment using automated and semi-automatic equipment.

You will monitor process controls, read engineering drawings, perform calibration and testing, use tools, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

  • 6 months experience with functional circuit board testing & hand soldering.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with close supervision.
  • Develops skills to perform basic, repetitive, and manual activities on the job.
  • Uses existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks; has limited opportunity to solve problems

Responsibilities

  • Hit daily build plans for the cell area.
  • Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards.
  • Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment and PPE usage.
  • May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as needed.
  • May assist in training of new associates
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions
  • May be responsible for handling of and accurate disposal of chemical and non-chemical waste
  • Assist in design, implementation and problem solving of new equipment and products
  • Conduct functional testing of products and components to ensure quality, performance, and safety requirements
  • Perform small parts assembly and execute hand soldering of components
  • Complete hoist/crane training and operate lifting equipment as required

Reporting to the Area Manager , the PCBA Operator I is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking, assembling, and packaging. In some areas, minor set-up and equipment operation may be required. It is a fast-paced environment with advanced technologies being used. Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Follows engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings. Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment. Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.

This position is part of the Production Operations Department located in Loveland, CO and will be on-site.

In this role, a typical day will look like:
  • Responsible for hitting daily build plans for cell area

  • Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards

  • Comply with company safety policies including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, hand tool safety, etc. Comply with good housekeeping policies

  • May be required to cross-train on other equipment or other areas as needed.

  • May assist in training of new associates

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions (LOTS, scrap, Oracle, ARIBA, kanban, DRP, etc.)

  • May be responsible for handling of and accurate disposal of chemical and non-chemical waste, some of which is hazardous and regulated

  • Assist in design, implementation and problem solving of new equipment and products

  • Conduct functional testing of products and components to ensure they meet quality, performance, and safety requirements

  • Perform small parts assembly and execute hand soldering of components

  • Complete hoist/crane training and operate lifting equipment as required

The essential requirements of the job include:

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $19.00 - $20.82 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
