Job summary

Plexus Corp. in Wisconsin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - PCBA to lead technical interfaces between internal teams and customers, translating schematics and designs into manufacturable solutions. The role focuses on optimizing PCBA manufacturing through DfX principles and systemic problem solving.

You will drive improvements to yields, reduce scrap, and shorten cycle times while collaborating with Test, Quality, and Process Engineering to ensure design for manufacturing success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 2+ years of related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Proficient in electrical design principles and manufacturing interfaces.
• Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes and quality tools.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Readiness & DfX: identify manufacturing routes and optimize processes for robust PCBA output.
• System-Level Technical Interface: translate requirements into actionable manufacturing instructions.
• Technical Problem Solving: lead root cause analysis when issues arise on the floor.
• Continuous Improvement: drive efficiency, reduce scrap, and optimize cycle times.
