Job summary

Rocket EMS is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (Second Shift) in Carson City, NV. The role focuses on ensuring high-reliability PCB assemblies meet IPC standards, performing first article inspections, and auditing processes on the SMT line.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in electronics inspection, IPC-A-610/J-STD-001 certification, and the ability to interpret blueprints and BOMs. Benefits include a 401(k), medical/dental/vision, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 2 years in an electronics inspection role.
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification (required).
• Strong understanding of IPC workmanship standards (Class 2 and 3).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Review job documentation prior to inspection.
• Conduct SMT First Article Inspections and verify IPC compliance.
• Monitor throughput and quality on assigned lines; halt production if defects are identified.
• Provide daily quality pass-down reports to leads/supervisors.
• Initiate and review Technical Inquiries for discrepancies; ensure proper authorization.
• Assist in addressing bottlenecks and escalate unresolved issues to Quality Manager.
• Adhere to ESD, MSD handling, housekeeping, safety, and inspection protocols.
• Propose and support continuous process and quality improvements.
