Job summary

Amphenol is seeking a PCB Inspector to perform final-stage visual inspection of printed circuit boards, including backplanes, daughter cards, flex circuits, and assemblies, ensuring compliance with IPC-TM-650.

Candidates should read blueprints, operate micrometers and Vernier gauges, and may use a CMM (Optek). Overtime and cross-training in other departments may be required, with adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Reading blue prints and customer drawings.
• Ability to read and follow IPC specifications.
• Use of measuring tools (micrometer, Vernier, pin gauges).
• Experience with CMM is a plus and IPC-A-600 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect PCBs including backplanes, daughter cards, flex circuits and assemblies.
• Perform physical measurements such as Bow & Twist and adhesion testing per IPC-TM-650.
• Inspect final finishes (tin, gold, solder) for spec conformance.
• Follow process instructions on batch cards and inspection reports.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAIs) and cross-train as needed.
• Overtime/alternate shifts or weekends may be required.
