Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with strong electronics manufacturing expertise in Irvine to enhance PCBA development and EMS-driven processes. The role is permanent, offering relocation assistance if needed, and a path to growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include designing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes, reducing cycle times, and collaborating with design engineers to optimize producibility and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field; Master’s degree advantageous.
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Experience in SMT and PCB operations.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs and production optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional project management abilities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, monitor and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce costs and cycles.
  • Manage manufacturing areas including PCBA Development and PCB.
  • Promote efficiency through production strategies.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability and economical production.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot product and production issues.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to team members.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations compliance.
  • Design and improve electronic parts, components and systems for manufacturing.
  • Implement EMS to enhance manufacturing processes.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
  1. Designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining the manufacturing processes.
  2. Developing and implementing process improvements to reduce costs and cycles.
  3. Managing various areas of manufacturing including PCBA Development and PCB.
  4. Implementing strategies in the production process to promote efficiency.

Qualifications:
  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be highly advantageous.
  2. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  3. Proven experience in SMT and PCB operations.
  4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex manufacturing operations.
  6. Strong technical skills including the ability to manage large, cross‑functional projects.
  7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to a range of key stakeholders.
  8. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software.
  10. Strong understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
