Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for PCB (Starlink) to identify and manage asset reliability risks across production facilities. You will drive uptime by implementing preventive plans and supporting new asset installations with cross-functional teams.

Candidates should have a mechanical/electrical engineering degree and 1+ year in manufacturing reliability. CMMS experience and a problem-solving mindset are essential for success in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, systems, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience in an engineering role in manufacturing, integration, reliability, and/or operations.
  • Advanced degrees in engineering with reliability analysis experience a plus.
  • Experience with CMMS programs such as Maximo, SAP, Infor, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure reliability and sustainability of new and modified installations.
  • Maintain consistency and maintainability of critical equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety/security systems.
  • Own asset improvement plans for preventative maintenance strategies and downtime minimization.
  • Define, design, develop, monitor, and refine asset maintenance plans including predictive testing.
  • Prepare asset documentation for review of system mechanical design, controls, and software.
  • Develop solutions to repetitive failures affecting plant operations including capacity, quality, cost, or compliance.
  • Collaborate with production to analyze asset utilization, overall equipment effectiveness, and remaining useful life.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance management and production teams.
  • Manage requests for asset improvement and data collection; apply value analysis to repair/replace decisions.
