Job description

Job ID: 3963

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Librarian. The selected candidate will work with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software, Altium and/or Xpedition to create and maintain component library database schematic symbols and component land patterns per IPC and SDL's standards. This position will require full-time presence onsite at our headquarters in North Logan, UT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages Component Part Library which may include multiple libraries
  • Creates custom parts from engineering drawings
  • Processes Electronic Entity Request (EERA) including interpreting electrical/ mechanical drawings to create parts, both common and complex, to SDL standards
  • Assures symbols and footprints comply with IPC and space grade PCB design and fabrication standards
  • Assists with assembly drawings
  • Assists the PCB Design team in ordering, tracking delivery, and failures of PCB builds

Required Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or GED
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must work well independently with minimal supervision and in a team
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US citizen, permanent resident of the US, or other US person
  • Must be able to travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of electronic components and their basic functions
  • Experience with EDA software tools
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and data sheets

*Salary Range
  • $33,000-$70,000
    • Salary commensurate based on education and experience
