Job description

Librarian (Library Content Curator) at LifeAmongTheion fixed price

LifeAmongTheion is a movement dedicated to community support, philosophical living, and psychological advancement. We’re a remote startup with three brands: Eudaicentre (virtual assistant services), FLR 555 MEDIA (digital content), and The Library of Theion (a knowledge hub for philosophy, psychology, and human experience). We’re currently raising $110,000 to grow our impact, and we need a passionate Librarian to curate and grow The Library of Theion.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a Librarian (Library Content Curator) to manage and grow The Library of Theion, our digital bookstore and community platform. You’ll curate eBooks, manage discussion forums, and drive sales of philosophical and psychological content, helping thinkers worldwide access wisdom and engage in meaningful conversations. This is a remote, full-time role with a flexible schedule, reporting to the Founder via Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

  1. Curate and upload eBooks for The Library of Theion, ensuring high-quality, thought-provoking content in philosophy, psychology, and human experience.
  2. Manage discussion forums, moderate conversations, and foster an engaged community of thinkers (e.g., respond to user posts, spark discussions with prompts like, “What’s your take on Stoicism in modern life?”).
  3. Promote eBooks and forums through email campaigns and by collaborating with the Community Strategist for posts on lifeamongtheion.
  4. Drive sales of eBooks by creating compelling descriptions, organizing launches, and engaging with potential buyers (e.g., “Check out our new eBook on mindfulness—perfect for your personal growth journey!”).
  5. Track sales and community engagement, sharing a weekly summary with the Founder via Microsoft Teams (e.g., “This week, I sold 5 eBooks and had 10 active forum discussions—here’s the breakdown”).
  6. Provide daily updates on Microsoft Teams about work progress and well-being (e.g., “Hey, I uploaded a new eBook today and started a forum thread—I’m feeling great. Hope you’re here to support me :)”).
  7. Align all activities with LifeAmongTheion’s mission of community support, philosophical living, and psychological advancement.

Compensation

  1. Base Pay: $400 per month, equivalent to $2.50 per hour for a full-time role (based on 160 hours in 30 days).
  2. 40% of total sales generated (e.g., $20 per $50 in sales).
  3. 5% of each book sale (e.g., $0.50 per $10 book).
  4. Example: In 30 days, you generate $150 in sales (15 books sold at $10 each). You earn 40% of total sales = $150 × 0.4 = $60, plus 5% per book sale = $0.50 × 15 books = $7.50. Total pay = $400 base + $60 (sales commission) + $7.50 (per-book percentage) = $467.50 for 30 days, or $2.92 per hour.
  5. Payment will be processed via Homebase on the last business day of each 30-day period, using your preferred method (e.g., wire transfer, direct deposit, PayPal, Venmo).

Requirements

  1. Passion for philosophy, psychology, and human experience, with a knack for curating meaningful content.
  2. Experience in content curation, digital sales, or community management (e.g., managing forums, selling eBooks).
  3. Strong communication skills for engaging with a community of thinkers and promoting content.
  4. Familiarity with tools like Google Suite, Notion, Trello, or email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
  5. Ability to work remotely with your own equipment (computer, internet access).
  6. Alignment with LifeAmongTheion’s mission to uplift communities through wisdom.
