Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a PCB Designer/Librarian in Fort Collins, CO or Eden Prairie, MN to own and manage our PCB libraries while designing high-density assemblies for power conversion products. You will use Altium Designer to create schematics, layouts, fabrication packages, and library components across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of PCB design requirements related to high-voltage, high-current, and power conversion applications.
• Working knowledge of creepage and clearance requirements, isolation techniques, and safety-driven PCB layout practices.
• Ability to balance electrical performance, thermal requirements, manufacturability, and system reliability in complex PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Place components and route tracks ensuring all functional and physical specifications meet PCB, electrical, mechanical, thermal, and high-voltage isolation design requirements.
• Create PCB designs in accordance with manufacturability and assembly requirements and engage manufacturing teams to drive DFM improvements.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, fabrication deliverables, assembly documentation, and maintain job status updates.
• Work with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware Engineers and react appropriately to engineering changes.
• Participate in process improvement activities for the PCB design team.
