Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a PCB Designer - Librarian to own and manage the company’s PCB libraries while designing high-density, power conversion PCBs using Altium Designer. The role supports the product development lifecycle with fabrication packages, schematics, layouts and library components for new and existing products.

Responsibilities include ensuring manufacturability, driving DFM improvements, and collaborating with Engineering teams across Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of PCB design requirements for high-voltage and high-current power conversion.
• Knowledge of creepage/clearance, isolation techniques and safety-driven PCB layout practices.
• Ability to balance electrical performance, thermal requirements, manufacturability, and reliability in complex PCB designs.

Responsibilities

• Place components and route tracks meeting PCB, electrical, mechanical and high-voltage isolation specs.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts and fabrication deliverables; maintain documentation.
• Engage with Manufacturing to drive DFM improvements.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware Engineers on engineering changes.
• Participate in PCB design team process improvement.
