Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, PCB Designer in Carlsbad, CA to design and lay out printed circuit boards for CCAs, collaborating with design engineers and manufacturing teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of related experience (or advanced degree with 2+ years, or 8+ years without a degree) and hands-on ECAD/PCB tooling experience, preferably Siemens Xpedition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of related experience; or graduate degree with 2+ years; or 8+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience in PCB design and ECAD tooling required.
• Knowledge of IPC/ASME standards and fabrication drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place and route PCB components to meet electrical and physical specs.
• Ensure manufacturing/assembly requirements are satisfied.
• Create drawings and documentation for PCB fabrication and assembly.
• Perform design changes and assist with issue resolution.
• Update drawings per engineering change requests.
• Create ECAD footprints and schematic symbols as needed.
