Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer to join our high-speed products team. You will design, draft, and revise PCB layouts, ensuring manufacturability and proper tolerances for complex interconnect systems used in telecom and data applications.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent with experience in PCB CAD tools (Cadence Allegro or Altium) and the ability to collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, and Process

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Additional skills include technical capacity, communication proficiency, problem solving/analysis and the ability to collaborate as a member of a team.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium required

Responsibilities

• Use computer assisted design/drafting for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings)
• Utilize knowledge of dimensional tolerancing, PCB manufacturing capabilities, and design for manufacturing checks
• Resolve technical responses from PCB manufacturing deviations
• Update Customer Application notes and Engineering Standards
• Sets up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings
• Communicate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering regarding new and revised designs

The position will be located in Raleigh, NC.
