Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), part of Amphenol Corporation, is seeking a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Designer for our Raleigh, NC site. You will use CAD tools to produce and revise PCB drawings and ensure manufacturability.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year of related experience and is proficient with Cadence Allegro or Altium. You will collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering to finalize designs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Use computer assisted design/drafting for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB).
• Create and revise production drawings (detail and assembly drawings).
• Utilize knowledge of dimensional tolerancing, PCB manufacturing capabilities, and design for manufacturing checks.
• Resolve technical responses from PCB manufacturing deviations.
• Update Customer Application notes and Engineering Standards.
• Sets up and maintain an organized file system for production drawings.
• Communicate with Electrical, Mechanical, and Process Engineering regarding new and revised designs.

The position will be located in Raleigh, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use computer assisted design/drafting for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree or equivalent; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Additional skills include technical capacity, communication proficiency, problem solving/analysis and the ability to collaborate as a member of a team
• Experience with Cadence Allegro or Altium required
