Job summary

TekPillar is seeking a skilled PCB design engineer to create, modify, and review KiCad-based layouts and schematics in a fast-paced environment. You will translate circuit designs into precise PCB layouts, handle component placement, routing, and multilayer design tasks, and ensure adherence to DRC and manufacturing outputs.

The role requires strong English communication, hands-on KiCad experience, and the ability to explain design workflows clearly.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with KiCad.
• PCB design, layout, and schematic capture.
• Understanding of electronic circuit design principles.
• Experience with component placement, routing, and multilayer boards.
• Knowledge of PCB design rules and DRC.
• Ability to troubleshoot PCB designs.
• Experience generating Gerber files and manufacturing outputs.
• Clear and effective English communication (B2+).
• Access to KiCad and ability to record demonstrations.

Job description

• Create, modify, and review PCB layouts and electronic schematics using KiCad.
• Perform schematic capture and translate circuit designs into PCB layouts.
• Execute component placement, routing, and multilayer PCB design tasks.
• Apply PCB design rules and perform Design Rule Checks (DRC) to identify and resolve design issues.
• Troubleshoot PCB layout and schematic-related problems.
• Generate Gerber files and other required manufacturing outputs.
• Review complex PCB designs and assess their quality, accuracy, and manufacturability.
• Complete advanced KiCad design tasks and explain workflows through clear, step-by-step instructions.
• Develop clear technical instructions and prompts for PCB design workflows.
• Record and demonstrate design workflows using screen-recording tools when required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Strong professional, hands-on experience with KiCad.
• Solid experience in PCB design, PCB layout, and schematic capture.
• Good understanding of electronic circuit design and PCB design principles.
• Practical knowledge of component placement, PCB routing, and multilayer board design.
• Experience applying PCB design rules and performing DRC.
• Ability to troubleshoot and review complex PCB designs.
• Experience generating Gerber files and PCB manufacturing outputs.
• Ability to explain technical processes and design workflows clearly.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2 level or above).
• Access to KiCad and the ability to record and share screen-based demonstrations.
