Job summary

Remotebridge is seeking a KiCad PCB Design Specialist on a contract basis. You will design and modify PCB layouts and schematics, handle multi-layer boards, and generate Gerber outputs.

You must explain workflows step-by-step and record screens during tasks. Strong KiCad experience and clear communication in English are required; preferred masters/PhD in EE; experience in AI data tasks is a plus.

Role Title: KiCad PCB Design Specialist

Location: Remote

Our team is looking for experienced KiCad specialists to support an AI training project. In this role, you will use KiCad to complete real-world PCB design and electronic circuit tasks and explain your workflows step by step. Your expertise will help improve how AI systems understand electronics engineering.

Scope of Work

• Create and modify PCB designs and circuit schematics using KiCad.
• Work with component placement, PCB routing, and multi-layer boards.
• Perform design rule checks (DRC) and troubleshoot PCB design issues.
• Generate Gerber files and other manufacturing outputs.
• Complete advanced KiCad tasks and explain your workflows step by step.
• Create clear instructions and detailed prompts for PCB design workflows.

Requirements

• Strong professional hands-on experience using KiCad.
• Experience with PCB layout, schematic capture, and electronic circuit design.
• Good understanding of component placement, routing, and PCB design rules.
• Ability to create and review complex PCB designs.
• Access to KiCad and ability to record your screen while completing tasks.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Ability to explain technical workflows clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• A relevant master's degree or PhD in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Previous Human Data experience, such as data annotation, RLHF, or AI model evaluation.
• Experience with multi-layer PCB design and manufacturing processes.
• Professional experience in electronics or hardware engineering.
