Shield AI in Seattle, WA, seeks a skilled PCB Designer to create layouts for aircraft programs and translate schematics into robust PCBA designs. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing engineers to translate requirements into manufacturable boards and production drawings.

The role emphasizes signal and power integrity, impedance control, and thermal/ EMI mitigation, with responsibilities including stackup planning, design reviews, Gerber/ODB++ outputs, and DFM

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• Direct PCB design experience required.
• IPC standards familiarity preferred.
• Experience with high-speed, RF, and power layouts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create PCB layouts for digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power designs.
• Plan PCB stack-ups with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Interpret schematics and routing rules with engineers.
• Coordinate board form factor with mechanical engineers and ensure constraints.
• Apply signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, impedance control, and thermal/EMI mitigation.
• Generate Gerber/ODB++ files and manufacturing drawings.
• Support manufacturing with DFM compliance.
