Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced PCB Designer in the United States to create layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power electronics used in aircraft. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to translate schematics into robust, manufacturable PCBA designs.

You will drive stack-up planning, rule interpretation, and placement constraints, while applying best practices for signal integrity and EMI mitigation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of PCB layout experience for production hardware.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/thermal issues.

Responsibilities

• Create PCB layouts for complex digital, analog, RF, high-speed, and power designs.
• Plan and manage PCB stack-ups with fabrication vendors and manufacturing engineers.
• Interpret schematics, routing rules, and design intent with electrical engineers.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers for board form factor and connector placement.
• Ensure manufacturability and compliance with company standards through design reviews.
• Generate Gerber/ODB++ files, fabrication notes, and assembly drawings.
• Work with manufacturing to meet supplier DFM requirements.
