Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) seeks a Printed Circuit Board Design Hardware Engineer to join a cross-functional team delivering high‑tech PCB solutions for defense and science applications. The role emphasizes layout, testing support and documentation within a collaborative environment.

The candidate should have exposure to PCB design tools and IPC standards, with a willingness to learn CAD workflows and contribute to manufacturing drawings for production.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IPC specifications and standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7711, IPC-A-610).
• Experience with PCB materials, vias, traces, plating, PWAs and PWBs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in PCB layout for high speed/high density designs to MIL/IPC standards.
• Support thermal and mechanical analysis and QC of PCBs.
• Contribute to CAD layout, symbol creation, library management and documentation.
