Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Starlink project. The role includes designing tooling and machinery for PCB production, ensuring efficient processes from concept to mass production.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, at least 1 year of CAD design experience, and a willingness to travel internationally. Strong expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly is preferred. This role is on-site only.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software, FEA, and 2D drawing.
• Understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Experience with mechanical fixturing and automation for high volume PCB lines.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment.
• Solve complex problems with an emphasis on speed and execution.
• Develop project plans, budgets, and cost/benefit analysis.
