Job summary

ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in San Diego, CA. This in‑home role offers meaningful, client‑centered care and opportunities for advancement within a supportive workplace.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, providing companionship, mobility support, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred.
• Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their home environment.
• Help with mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to client dietary needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed.
• Document and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors promptly.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
