Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for the Surgical & Orthopedic Unit on the day shift. This full-time role offers 36 hours per week with a $1,500 sign-on bonus. You will work under an RN or LPN, assist with basic patient care, and participate in a supportive team focused on patient wellness.

Training is provided; BLS is required within 1 month. High school diploma or GED is required, and CNA/CPTC or enrollment is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior healthcare experience required; Mercy provides a 175-hour training program or onboarding.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• CNA/CPTC preferred or enrollment in healthcare program.

Responsibilities

• Record vital signs in the electronic medical record.
• Assist patients with meals, hygiene, toileting, ambulation, and transport.
• Provide clerical support as needed.
