What You'll Be Doing

Every client is different, so your day as a PCA may include a variety of responsibilities, such as:

• Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care needs

• Providing companionship and conversation

• Preparing meals and assisting with light household tasks

• Helping with laundry and keeping the client's living area tidy

• Providing medication reminders

• Assisting with errands or transportation when needed

• Supporting clients with their daily routines

• Observing and communicating changes in a client's needs

• Providing respectful care while protecting each client's privacy and dignity

Requirements:

• PCA, caregiver, home care, or similar experience is preferred

• Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant is a plus

• Valid driver's license

• Reliable vehicle and current auto insurance

• Ability to pass required background and drug screening

• Reliable attendance and a professional attitude

• Ability to work independently in a client's home
