Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) in the 5 Cities area to provide personal care services and support per the patient’s plan of care. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $22 with weekly paychecks and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs when ordered, and ensuring patient safety during transfers and mobility. A CPR certification and Maxim competency completion are required.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• CPR certification current and valid as required by state regulations.
• Completion of Maxim screening examinations and competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient with activities of daily living per plan of care (bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting, feeding).
• Record vital signs when ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Support safe transfer and ambulation; assist with exercise per plan of care.
• Perform simple procedures as ordered under supervision; assist with laundry and safety checks.
• Observe patient condition, document changes, and report to supervising nurse.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting patient with and per plan of care, the following;
  
  
  
  • Baths, Oral hygiene, Dressing and undressing, Toileting activities, feeding, etc
  
  
  • Taking and recording oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  
  
  • Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
  
  
  • Exercise according to the plan of care
  
  
  • Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered (with appropriate completed/demonstrated skills competency)
  
  
  • Patient’s laundry
  
  
  • Meeting safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)
  
  
  • Observation and teaching of home safety practices
  
  
  • Recognition of an emergency situation and knowledge of emergency management procedures
  
  
  
  


• Must follow patients plan of care and complete all tasks assigned


• Communicates in a constant, clear, and effective way with the client, family/caregiver and office


• Observes and documents patient condition and reports any changes, to the assigned nurse supervisor

Requirements

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable


• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given


• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation


• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable


• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations


• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program


• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
