Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare of Kinston in Havelock, NC is seeking a reliable In-Home Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide one-on-one care for a Veteran in the home. This role offers hourly pay based on experience and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a client’s daily life.

Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and ensuring safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable caregiver with a patient and respectful attitude.
• Experience with personal care or daily living activities is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and reliable transportation are important.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Provide companionship and social engagement to the client.

• Provide medication reminders as needed and follow the care plan.

• Arrive on time and fulfill scheduled shifts.

What You'll Do as a Caregiver / PCA

As a member of our caregiving team, you'll provide compassionate, non-medical care that helps a Veteran maintain independence and quality of life at home.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility

• Providing companionship and meaningful social engagement

• Helping with meal preparation and light housekeeping

• Providing medication reminders

• Following the client's individualized care plan

• Communicating professionally with the client, family members, and SYNERGY HomeCare team
