Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities in York, PA is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily routines, socialization, and well-being on site. You will provide one-on-one care, companionship, and gentle encouragement to help residents stay engaged and comfortable.

The position offers full-time, part-time, and PRN options with competitive pay starting at $16.75–$18.75 per hour, plus benefits and opportunities for growth based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and families.

Pay starts at $16.75 - $18.75/hour, based on shift preference, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience.

PCA Responsibilities

• Help our residents live their lives to the fullest by assisting them with their routines throughout their day.

PCA Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18 years of age or older, except as permitted in 2800.54(d).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Skilled in communicating effectively with others, including careful listening, sensitivity to others' thoughts and feelings, timely and accurate reporting changes.
• Compassion and patience in all personal interactions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
