Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to support residents with daily routines, socialization and well-being. You will work closely with a caring team to provide one-on-one attention that makes residents feel valued and respected.

The role emphasizes compassion, patience and strong communication as you help residents stay engaged and comfortable throughout the day. Full-time and part-time day and evening shifts are available across our campuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or active CNA license.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Effective communication with residents, families and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Help residents live their daily routines with one-on-one support.
• Provide companionship and assist with activities to enhance well-being.

As key members of our direct-care team, Personal Care Assistants provide one‑on‑one support to our residents in their daily routines, socialization and overall well‑being.

Current Opportunities:

• Full-Time Day shift: 7am-3pm
• Part-Time Day shift: 7am-3pm Every other weekend
• Part-Time Evening shift: 3pm-11pm Every other weekend
• Part-Time Evening shift: 3pm-11pm

Pay: $16.25 - $18.25 per hour – based on shift preference, with the opportunity to earn more based on experience

PCA Responsibilities:

• Help our residents live their lives to the fullest by assisting them with their routines throughout their day.
• Build bonds through companionship.
• Show patience, compassion and empathy in each engagement with all residents and their families.
• Assist residents in organizing their day and activities and above all, enjoy themselves.

PCA Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED or active CNA license.
• 18 years of age or older, except as permitted in 2800.54(d).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and team‑oriented environment.
• Skilled in communicating effectively with others, including careful listening, sensitivity to others thoughts and feelings, timely and accurate reporting changes.
• Compassion and patience in all personal interactions.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
