Job summary

Amivie Care Services in the Virginia Beach area seeks compassionate Personal Care Aides to join our home care team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain independence and safety in their own homes.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time shifts across mornings, evenings, and weekends, reliable transportation, and a supportive office staff. Prior PCA, CNA, or HHA experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• PCA certification or completion of an approved Personal Care Aide training program preferred.
• CNA or HHA experience is also welcome.
• Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow care instructions.
• Reliable transportation to and from assigned client locations.
• Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional.
• Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and walking support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and maintain a clean living environment.

• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and appointments as assigned.
• Offer medication reminders in accordance with the care plan and company policies.
• Monitor and report changes in a client's condition to the appropriate supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain client confidentiality.
