Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is seeking competent, compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support clients with daily living in Palmetto, GA. You will help with bathing, dressing, meal prep, mobility, medications reminders, and companionship while ensuring safety and privacy.

Ideal candidates have prior caregiving experience, CPR/First Aid, TB test, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and can pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Previous Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience is preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
• TB test completed.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients' needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client's plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients' privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
