Job summary

AM General in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a part-time IT Service & Support Associate to deploy and support standard equipment and software for knowledge workers. You will assist deskside and remote users, handle incidents and service requests, and help manage assets across devices and networks.

You will learn to use a range of tools to monitor the Infrastructure & Operations landscape while collaborating with teams and partners to maintain secure, reliable IT services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or GED) and pursuing Bachelor of Arts/Science in Computer Science or Information Technology or Management Information Systems is required
• Hours are limited to 29 per week
• General working knowledge of Windows-based PCs, tablets, mobile devices
• Experience using Microsoft Office 365 products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word)
• Strong organizational skills
• Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Accuracy in quality of work
• Work independently and in teams
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills
• Must be able to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support standard IS&S equipment and software to knowledge workers
• Support knowledge workers either deskside or using remote support tools
• Providing Incident and Service Request Fulfillment support
• Demonstrate Asset Management techniques to deploy, track, and recover devices and peripherals
• Participate in project-related activities across service providers
• Provide support of voice and data services, working with Managed Services partner(s)
• Assist InfoSec with hardening & remediating any endpoint devices, network equipment, or virtual machines for vulnerabilities
• Learn to use various tools and platforms to support & monitor the Infrastructure & Operations landscape

PHYSICAL EFFORT

• Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate

• Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
